Ukraine intends for 5 years to increase exports to Canada 10 times

Ukraine intends within five years to increase exports to Canada 10 times. This was announced by Deputy Minister of economic development and trade – trade representative of Ukraine Natalia Mykolskiy.

“If we are talking about the abolition of duties, we have a big wish that within 5 years we went to figures to 10 times larger than it is now. For 11 months in 2016, the exports from Ukraine to Canada amounted to 26.2 million dollars, which does not reflect our potential,” she said during the “round table” in Parliament.

The Ministry clarifies that in 2015, Ukraine’s exports to Canada amounted to 30.2 million dollars, and imports from Canada 206,3 million.

As reported, in December the lower house of the Parliament of Canada supported the ratification of the agreement on free trade zone with Ukraine, and now the legislation must be ratified in the upper house of the Parliament of Canada – Senate.
