The Russian security services moved to a new phase of hybrid war in Ukraine – political terrorism, says Secretary of the national security and defense Council (NSDC) Alexander Turchinov in connection with the prevention of the assassination of people’s Deputy, member of parliamentary Committee on legislative support of law enforcement of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko.
“Preliminary information suggests that the attack was related to his (Gerashchenko – Ed.) professional activities and expose the Russians involved in crimes in the occupied territory of Ukraine”, – quoted Turchynov press service of the NSDC on Monday.
As reported, in Kiev the staff of SBU stopped the murder of people’s Deputy of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko. On suspicion in Commission of this crime detained two people who, according to the investigation, reported to his handlers in Russia.
Later it became known that the Shevchenkovsky district court of Kiev arrested two suspects in the case of the assassination of people’s Deputy Anton Gerashchenko on two months without the right of bail.
In turn he Gerashchenko explained that he wanted to kill. He admitted that the attack on him could be associated with his active public position and with the activities of the Peacemaker website, which published data on the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
