Ukrainians advised to leave Gambia

The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine urges Ukrainians to refrain from trips to Gambia because of the deteriorating political situation in the country, and those who are already in this country – to leave its territory. This is stated in the statement of the Department of consular service of the MFA of Ukraine.

“Due to the tense and unpredictable political situation in the Gambia, as well as the introduction on its territory of a state of emergency, the foreign Ministry recommends Ukrainian citizens to refrain in the near future from trips to Gabey or leave it. Citizens of Ukraine who are on the territory of the Gambia, advised to exercise increased vigilance and caution, regularly follow the news about the situation in the country, to avoid places of a mass congestion of people, not to participate in protests and demonstrations, not to raise in talks with the local population on the issues concerning the political situation in the Gambia and also to always carry identity documents”, – stated in the message.
