The President of the United States of America now is Donald trump, who just took the oath and soon after delivered his inaugural address.
We offer the transcript of his speech.
TRUMP: chief justice Roberts, President Carter, President Clinton, President Bush, President Obama, fellow citizens and the peoples of the world, thank you!
(Applause)
We, the citizens of America, now United in a single national rush to rebuild our country and restore its potential for all our people.
(Applause)
Together we will determine the course of America and the world for many, many years. We are waiting for serious problems we will face challenges, but we will fulfill our task.
Every four years we gather on the steps of this building to adequately implement a peaceful transfer of power, and we are grateful to President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama for their kind assistance in this transition period. They were great. Thank you.
(Applause)
However, today’s ceremony has very special meaning because today we do not just pass the power from one administration to the next or from one party to another. We transfer the power from Washington and return it to you, people.
(Applause)
Too long a small group of people in the capital of our country reaped the fruits of government, state authorities, and the costs fell on the shoulders of the people. Washington flourished, but people of his goods and wealth received nothing. Policy flourished, but the jobs disappeared, and factories closed. The establishment defended itself, and not the citizens of our country. Their victory was not your victories. Their triumphs are your triumphs. And while they celebrated in the capital of our country, families in distress across the country to celebrate and it was almost nothing.
(Applause)
This will all change and the change starts right here and right now because this moment is yours, it belongs to you.
(Applause)
TRUMP: It belongs to all who gathered here today and everyone who looks at us across America. This is your day. This is your holiday. And the United States is your country.
(Applause)
Really it does not matter which party controls our government, and whether the people control our government.
(Applause)
January 20, 2017 will be remembered as a day when people once again became the ruler of this country.
(Applause)
The forgotten men and women of our country never be forgotten.
(Applause)
Now listen all of you. You, tens of millions came here to be part of a historic movement, the likes of which the world had never seen before.
(Applause)
In the center of this movement is an extremely important conviction that the state exists to serve its citizens. Americans want their children had a great school so their families lived in safe areas, and that they themselves had a good job. This is a fair and reasonable demands of a righteous people and righteous society.
But too many of our citizens, there is another reality is mothers and children in poverty in the poor neighborhoods of our cities; it came in the desolation of factories scattered like tombstones, in the vastness of our country; an education system that wallows in money, but not giving our young and beautiful students no knowledge; crime and criminal gangs, and the drugs that took too many lives and left our country with huge untapped potential. The American carnage must be stopped here and now.
(Applause)
We are one nation, and their pain is our pain. Their dreams are our dreams. And their success is our success. We have one heart, one home, and one glorious destiny. The oath I take today is the oath of allegiance to all Americans.
(Applause)
For decades we have enriched the foreign industry to the detriment of American, subsidized the armies of other countries, allowing a regrettable weakening of our own armed forces. We protect the borders of other countries, and thus refused to defend its own borders.
(Applause)
We spent trillions of dollars abroad, while American infrastructure is dilapidated and fell into disrepair. We have enriched other countries while wealth, power, and confidence of our own country have disappeared over the horizon.
One after another were closed and left our country factories, and no one even thought about the fact that millions and millions of American workers remain unemployed. The wealth of our middle class flowed from his houses, and then redistributed around the world.
But it’s all in the past. And we are now going to look towards the future.
(applause)
We are gathered here today to give a new order, which must be heard in every city, in every foreign capital, in every office of power. From today our country will be guided by the new concept. Today it will sound just like this: America first.
(Applause)
Every decision on trade, on taxes, on immigration, on foreign Affairs will be taken in the interests of American workers and American families. We must protect our borders from the devastation of other countries that produce our products, steal our businesses and destroy our jobs.
(Applause)
America will again begin to win, win like never before.
(Applause)
We will return to our jobs. We will return to our borders. We will return our wealth. And we’ll get our dreams.
(Applause)
We will build new roads, highways, bridges, tunnels, airports, Railways all over our beautiful country. We will free our people from welfare and give them jobs. We will restore our country by the hands and efforts of Americans.
(Applause)
We will follow two simple rules: buy American and provide jobs to Americans.
(Applause)
We will seek friendship and good relations with the countries of the world, but we will assume that all countries have the right to put their own interests above all else. We do not seek to impose your lifestyle on anyone, but we want to serve by example. We will be serving a vivid example of all that they followed him.
(Applause)
We will strengthen old alliances and build new ones; we will join the civilized world against radical Islamic terrorism, and we will wipe terrorism from the face of the Earth.
(Applause)
Our policy will lie absolute loyalty to the United States of America, and showing loyalty to their country, we will restore fidelity to each other. When our hearts are open patriotism, they have no room for prejudice.
(Applause)
The Bible tells us how it is good and pleasant when God’s people live together in unity. We should openly Express their thoughts, to honestly discuss our differences, but always in solidarity. When America is United, it is invincible.
(Applause)
There should not be fear. We are protected and we will always be protected. We will protect the great men and women of our armed forces and law enforcement agencies. And most importantly, we will protect God.
(Applause)
Finally, we need to think big and dream even bigger. We in America understand that the nation is alive, until she wants something. We will no longer accept politicians who only talk, but do nothing and constantly complain but do nothing about it.
(Applause)
The time for empty talk has passed. There comes a time for action.
(Applause)
Don’t let anyone tell you that it is impossible. Heart, spirit and spirituality of America will overcome any challenges. We won’t lose. Our country will again prosper and succeed.
We are witnessing the birth of a new Millennium, we are ready to reveal the secrets of the cosmos, to release the world from suffering and disease, develop new energy industries and technologies of tomorrow. We will inspire a new national pride, she will inspire us and eliminate our differences.
It’s time to remember the old wisdom that we never forget our soldiers, as we may be, black, brown, or white, we all have red blood of patriots.
(Applause)
We all use our glorious freedoms, and we salute our great American flag.
(Applause)
Wherever the child was born, city blocks in Detroit or on the windswept plains of Nebraska, he’s looking at the same night sky, his heart filled with the same dreams, and one of our Almighty Creator gives him the breath of life.
(Applause)
All Americans in all cities, large and small, from sea to sea, in the mountains and on the plains hear those words. You will no longer be ignored.
(Applause)
Your voice, your hopes, your dreams will determine our American destiny. Your courage, kindness and love will always guide us along the way. Together we will again make America strong. We again make America rich. We again make America proud. We again make America safe. And Yes, together we will again make America great.
(Applause)
Thank you. God bless you. And God bless America.
