Unemployment in Ukraine is at the average level and amounts to 1.9 million people who do not work legally or illegally. This was told in the comments to NewsOne Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko.
He noted that despite a number of the unemployed, people not in a hurry to get registered in the employment centers.
“The unemployment rate we know about. To date, 1.9 million Ukrainian citizens are the classic unemployed. This is an average European standard of unemployment. That is, the unemployment rate is about average for Europe,” – said Rozenko.
Earlier, the Minister of social policy Andrei Reva said that the employment rates of able-bodied population of Ukraine today is 52.6%. He noted that of the 26 million people of working age (from 15 to 70 years) currently have a formal job, only about 16 million people.
