World-famous American Internet company will change the name

American Internet company Yahoo! after the sale of Verizon Communicaton will change its name to Altaba Inc. About it reports Reuters with a reference to the report of the Commission on securities and stock exchanges of the USA, transfers “Correspondent”.

After completion of the transaction Yahoo! will leave CEO Marissa Mayer, the founder of the company David Filo and four other members of the Board of Directors. The new Chairman of the Board of Directors Altaba will be Eric Brandt, who joined the Board in March of last year, and previously worked as chief financial officer of Broadcom Corp.

According to sources The Wall Street Journal, the new name is a combination of the words “alternative” and Alibaba.

Recall, Verizon Communications Inc. acquires Yahoo! for 4.8 billion dollars.
