Visa-free regime between Ukraine and the EU will enter into force after the presidential elections in France in spring 2017. This was announced by Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine on European integration Elena zerkal in an interview with “European truth”.
“Our timeline that we are moving towards a visa-free regime(at least as I see it), suggests that the final decision on bizwise will be made before the elections in France. But it will come into force probably not before the elections,” – said zerkal.
At the same time, the Ambassador of Ukraine in great Britain Natalia galibarenko believes that the UK is not ready to go on simplification of visa regime for Ukrainians. “Unfortunately, the UK government is not prepared to come forward by their plans to tighten control over labor migration,” she said in an interview LB.ua.
We will remind, the first round of presidential elections in France will take place on 23 April, the second on 7 may.
Earlier in the Administration of the President of Ukraine expressed hope that France will not delay the issue of providing bezveza for Ukraine.
