Law enforcement authorities in Turkey arrested 18 people in connection with the attack on the courthouse in the Turkish city of Izmir, said on Friday the Minister of justice of Turkey Bekir bozdag.
Victims of this attack were police and a court employee.
The day before at the courthouse in Izmir has been undermined by a car bomb. In addition, the organizers of the attack had intended to fire at the court building with automatic weapons and threw grenades.
According to Bozdag, the police officer who was killed during the attack, their lives managed to prevent more large-scale terrorist attack.
Bozdag said that the Turkish authorities there is no doubt that behind this attack is the PKK, which is considered by Ankara as a terrorist organization.
Informed of the Consular service of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine, citing data from the Consulate General of Ukraine in Turkey, reported that no Ukrainians among victims of explosion in Izmir.
