Promoter Lomachenko: “Orlando Salido scared”

Renowned promoter Bob Arum, who represents the interests of the world champion in the first WBO lightweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko, said that Orlando Salido avoids a rematch with the Ukrainian.

Salido, who struck Lomachenko only defeat in his professional career, has previously stated that instead of a rematch with the Ukrainian can fight with Francisco Vargas.

“Orlando Salido chickened out. It’s the only explanation. He asked for crazy money for a rematch with Lomachenko. And we agreed for him to pay. And then suddenly he said, “No.” He just refuses to accept the fight. Why? Because he knows he can’t beat Lomachenko. The first time (his victory) was just a happy accident. There is no way to repeat it,” said Arum.
