Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina made it to the quarterfinals of a major tournament WTA Premier with a prize Fund of 1 000 000$ Intaernational Brisbane in Brisbane, Australia.
In the match of the second round Kharkov, seeded at number 6, in a bitter match 2 hours 22 minutes broke the resistance of American tennis player Shelby Rogers: 7-5 2-6 7-5.
In the first game the Ukrainian player lost 0:4, but managed to turn the game around. The decisive set was already Svitolina with the score 4:1, after which Rogers was able to equalize in the party: 4:4. However, the ending of the match was from Kharkov.
For reaching the semifinal, Svitolina will face the winner of the match between the first racket of the world Angelic Kerber and Ashley Barty of Australia.
