Groysman congratulated Ukrainians on the New year: the Worst is over

In the past year, the Ukrainian government stopped the social-economic crisis and difficult times are already behind. This was stated by Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman in greeting to the Ukrainian people on New year and Christmas, reports “UKRINFORM”.

“The past year became an important stage when we stopped the social and economic crisis. The growth all kinds of economic activities in the real sector of the economy,” he said.

Among the current achievements, the Prime Minister called a gradual restoration of growth of gross domestic product, the increase in investment activity, maintaining macro-financial stability, the slowdown of inflationary processes. In addition, he noted that more than a year Ukraine will not import Russian gas, and due to the decentralization reform of local budgets increased by UAH 44 billion, which is 50 percent more than last year.

The Prime Minister reminded that in 2016 were doubled social standards, which increased by 16.1%. The population was given about 860 million repayable assistance for conducting energy efficiency measures. In small towns and villages of Ukraine, opened supporting schools across the country actively repaired road.

“This suggests that our citizens are able to overcome any obstacles and make his native country better”, – said Groisman.

He also noted that Ukraine has fulfilled all the commitments to the European Union on visa-free regime and expressed confidence that the Association Agreement with the EU will be fully ratified, which will give additional impetus to the deepening of European integration and the effective implementation of internal reforms.

“I am convinced that the most difficult days are over, and 2017 will be a year of further development, which will bring significant changes in the social, economic, defence, political, cultural and humanitarian sphere. The government is preparing for the next decisive phase (after the overcoming of the crisis phenomena) is laying sustainable foundations for sustainable economic development. I am confident that together we can overcome all challenges and succeed!” – stressed the Prime Minister.

He wished Ukrainians to the implementation of cherished desires, good health, family warmth and comfort.

“May our hearts be full of love for one’s neighbor, and the whole our country lives in peace and harmony!” the Prime Minister said.

Earlier, Groisman said that the New year will be welcomed home with the family.
