Ukraine threatened terrorist attacks on critical infrastructure – Poroshenko

President Petro Poroshenko said the threat of terrorist attacks and sabotage on critical infrastructure of Ukraine. He said this at a meeting of the Council of national security and defense Council (NSDC), reports the press service of the head of state.

“Today is quite likely remain the terrorist acts and sabotage on critical infrastructure. Well, we have built a professional security service, and the Service knows how to prevent these threats. But we need inter-Agency cooperation”, – he stressed, adding that it is important to share experience with partner countries.

The President also recalled that in late 2015 or early 2016 was carried out cyber attacks on the energy industry, nuclear power plants, the airport “Borispol”.

The President reminded about the detention of a group of armed men in the area of Zaporizhzhya NPP, committing acts of sabotage on the ground gas pipeline of high pressure “Bohorodchany – Dolyna”, Ivano-Frankivsk region and the “Urengoy – Pomary – Uzhgorod” in the Poltava region. In addition, there were targeted actions of terrorist groups with the aim of malfunction and destruction of industrial facilities, transport infrastructure, objects Elektro-gazo – and water supply, primarily it was concentrated in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
