The national security Council approved the doctrine of information security of Ukraine

The national security Council and defence of Ukraine today, December 29, adopted the Doctrine of information security of Ukraine developed by the Ministry of information policy.

“This document is our political vision aimed at ensuring the national security of Ukraine in information sphere”, – said the Minister of information policy Yuriy stets.

Doctrine defines national interests in the information sphere, the objectives, tasks, principles, directions, priorities and mechanisms of formation and implementation of state information policy.

The document notes that the priority of the state policy in information sphere, in particular, is the creation and development of structures, which are responsible for information-psychological security in the first place in the Armed Forces of Ukraine taking into account the practice of States-members of NATO.

In addition, among the priorities is the development and protection of the technological infrastructure ensuring information security of Ukraine, as well as ensuring full coverage of the territory of Ukraine digital broadcasting, primarily the border guard and temporarily occupied territories, etc.

The document elaborated by the staff of the national security Council, he also includes a note from the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada on issues of freedom of speech and information policy of the Ministry of defence, security Service of Ukraine, the National Institute for strategic studies.

The document was developed by the expert Council under the Ministry of information policy, whose membership includes national deputies, experts, scientists, journalists and members of the public. “In addition, this document discussed with our European partners”, – noted in the Department.
