31 July the leader of “Alliance of patriots” David Tarkhan-Mouravi said in the broadcast channel “Lens” that in Georgia people don’t have enough land because their major part is bought by the Iranians. According to him, “Georgian man” have to work for leased the Iranians earth.

Statement of David Tarkhan-Mouravi that supposedly the Georgian lands were purchased mainly by Iranians, erroneously, argues Detector “myths”. In 2010-2014 land was in the ownership of foreign citizens, Iranians accounted for 1.7 percent, and in 2012-2016 1.3 per cent. And from 2019 in accordance with the legislation of Georgia, only Georgian citizens can buy land.

From 2010 to 2018 by foreign nationals in the property recorded a total of 16 750 thousand land plots of agricultural purpose.

4. In 2019 under the legislation of Georgia, to acquire land can only citizens of Ukraine (individuals). An identical entry is in the Constitution of Georgia.
