The head of state urged Ukrainians not to neglect Christian values
President Vladimir Zelensky has congratulated Ukrainians on the Day of the baptism of Rus – Ukraine, and now appealed to the heads of churches and religious organizations to pray for peace in the Donbass.

“Today we celebrate an important day for every Ukrainian, the day when Prince Vladimir baptized Kyiv Rus – Ukraine. We all seek the path of unity and why we forget, what really is 1032 years ago Prince Vladimir showed us the way – he unites people around the values of kindness, charity and love of neighbor,” wrote the guardian.
According to him, faith helped our ancestors in difficult times and in everyday life. He expressed confidence that in order for God to hear the Ukrainians, we need sincerity. The President calls not to forget Christian values and not neglect them, because without them it is impossible traffic on the way to prosperity and desired to peace.

The Orthodox Church of Ukraine (PCU) and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP) has decided to celebrate the occasion according to the rules of quarantine.
