For members this is the last plenary week of this summer
The Verkhovna Rada at this meeting may announce the holding of local elections in Ukraineand will also consider a draft resolution on the new zoning of the country (areas will be smaller but will be bigger).
Before to declare the elections in Ukraine, deputies will first need to approve the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers about education and the elimination of districts in Ukraine. Their number was 490 and now become 129.
After that Parliament will vote for the draft resolution on appointment of elections on October 25. It is noteworthy that the elections of members of the eliminated areas will not be undertaken.
Also on the agenda are several issues relating directly to the activities of the Parliament: on the grounds of absence of the MPs at the plenary meetings and meetings of committees; amendments to the law on status of Deputy; changes in position about the assistants of deputies and the decision on the financing of the activities of the MP; on the plan of the Council for the autumn; about the schedule for the plenary meetings.
The deputies will consider draft laws on mediation No. 3504, 3504-1, important bills on defence procurement №2398-d, exploration No. 2412-d, the activities of the foreign intelligence Service No. 2414-D.
As reported “Today”, July 14, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the law on legalization of gambling business in Ukraine. The document introduces a system for licensing activities in the sphere of gambling. The cost of the license will depend on the game type, amount of equipment and location of gambling. Play will only allow those 21 years or older. And the location of gambling establishments on the streets of cities impose restrictions. So, slot machine halls will be allowed only in hotels of category 3, 4 and 5 stars.
