The industry is experiencing the most difficult crisis for 20 years, said acting Minister of energy
Acting Minister of energy Olga Bukovec
called GBR and other law enforcement agencies to investigate the activities or omissions of officials, who brought the energy industry to virtual bankruptcy.
She stated this during a teleconference on the implementation of the decisions of the Crisis staff, writes “Obozrevatel”.
It welcomed the interest of members of Parliament and the desire of law enforcement agencies to understand the functioning of energy markets, noting that today the industry is experiencing the most difficult crisis for 20 years.
Busevec noted the presence of billions of dollars of debt in the electricity market, developed over the last 8 months. NEK “Ukrenergo” GP owed a “Guaranteed Buyer” UAH 13 bn.
“Guaranteed buyer” – “Energoatom” 5 billion UAH. 12 billion have not received the producers from RES. Consumers owed RS 5 billion “Ukrenergo”. 700 million UAH are debts of the “Ukrhydroenergo”. TES has received 3 billion UAH of losses”, – said the acting Minister, adding that it is the solution to these problems is directed anti-crisis measures supported by the Prime Minister in the framework of anti-Crisis energy headquarters.
We will remind, on April 28 the Ministry of energy and the environmental protection of Ukraine approvedthe new Forecast energy balance of Ukraine for 2020, which provides for measures to ensure the stable operation of the energy industry.
Also Busevec ensured full support to law enforcement agencies in the investigation of the current situation in the energy sector.
Recall that the RRG began a preliminary investigation into possible illegal actions of officials of the Ministry of energy and protection of the environment associated with a decrease in power units of nuclear power plants.
Busevec previously said that output of energy crisis, Minamaneho offers a range of anti-crisis measures, among them a Memorandum with investors to reduce the “green tariff”, stop the construction of new solar and wind generating capacity on the system of “green” tariff and the transition to a competitive system of support ( auctions), the reform of PSO.
