Voting in elections to local authorities will be held in accordance with the requirements of the law
Despite the rampant epidemic, coronavirus, local elections in Ukraine will be held according to the current legislation on 25 October this year.
On 6 may, said at a briefing the Chairman of the party “servant of the people” Alexander Kornienko, who stressed that the main positions of the Electoral code are met.

“A few months before a vote is unfair to change the electoral rules,” he said.
In turn the head of parliamentary fraction “the servant of the people” David Arakhamiya advocated the elimination of barriers for the participants in the elections, reminding that the Verkhovna Rada voted for the law on the reduction of the amount of the Deposit for candidates to local deputies.
“We believe that every person has the right to run without significant limitations. That is why I insisted on the elimination of all artificial barriers that will make the electoral process more accessible,” – said Arakhamia.
He also advocated to give the independent candidates the right to stand in mayors.
Kornienko also said that next week will begin work on amendments to the Electoral code, since according to him, the code adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of the previous convocation, is not working.
“We need to move to partizanii of the country. The party must descend a little lower than the area – in cities, in small towns and forming there the party structure,” he said.
