Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman said that Ukraine has the potential to increase freight transportation by river transport 10 times, and the maximum possible transport of goods through the territory of Ukraine, under favorable transit conditions, 20 times, to $ 300 billion. This Groisman said during joint with Prime Minister of Moldova Pavel Filip briefing on 8 September.
“We see great potential for the development of river transport, we see the possibility of a 10-fold increase in the movement of goods,” – said Groisman.

The Prime Minister reminded that Ukraine plans in 2018 to reduce port charges by 20%. In the context of a possible growth of the transport of goods through the territory of Ukraine Groisman added that the work in this direction is already underway.

So, Ukraine is preparing a large-scale program of development of road economy, liberalization of access to air, road, water transport, railway and ferry connection.
