In 2016, the amount of remittances from Germany to Ukraine amounted to 56 million euros. This was announced by the Federal Bank of Germany, Deutsche Welle reports.
This is more than in 2015 and 2014, when Ukraine was sent to 52 and 54 million euros respectively. The current amount is the highest since 2012.
In 2016, people from other countries living in Germany were transferred to their home country 4.2 billion euros. This amount is a record since the unification of Germany and exceed 700 billion euros by 2015. Most from Germany, send money to Turkey – there are transferred each year, about 800 billion euros.
Recall that for the year 2016 as a whole in Ukraine from abroad transferred more than $ 5.4 billion, which is 5.3% more than in 2015. This amount is comparable to 20% of budget revenues last year and is 7% of GDP.
