The meeting of US special envoy in Ukraine with Kurt Volker, a representative of Russia will be held on August 21 in Minsk closed press format. This was reported by press Secretary of the foreign Ministry of Belarus Dmitry Mironchik.
“Confirm that such a meeting will be held today, it will be closed to the press format”, — said Mironchik, answering the question about the meeting of Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov and the special representative of the US Volcker.

According to Russian media, the meeting of representatives of Russia and the United States is tentatively scheduled for the second half of the day. The meeting “will discuss Russian-Ukrainian relations”.
Earlier the US state Department said that the meeting of US special envoy in Ukraine with Kurt Volker, a representative of Russia will be held in Minsk on August 21. The state Department did not name the Russian representative, but informed the Russian side of the dialogue with the US on Ukraine was conducted by the Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov.
