The Baltic States will require the US and NATO for additional security measures in connection with large-scale Russian military exercises due to start in September.
This was reported by “radio Liberty”, referring to Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite.
“We see that risks are growing. We are concerned because of the teachings of the “West” in 2017, during which will be deployed are numerous and aggressive troops along our borders. They defiantly will prepare for war with the West,” said Grybauskaite after a meeting with the presidents of Estonia and Latvia in Riga.
As reported, in July 2016 NATO summit in Warsaw the leaders of the Alliance agreed to deploy additional units along the Eastern flank in response to Russia’s aggressive actions.
