Press Secretary of the President of Zimbabwe George Charamba in response to the statement called the us Ambassador Harry K. Thomas, Jr., “the remnant of a terrible era”, referring to the conflicting relations between the administration of former President Barack Obama and Zimbabwean leader Robert Mugabe.
“He (US Ambassador) thinks he can get us around. Let him go and hang on a banana tree,” said Charamba.
The representative of the President of Zimbabwe said that the country “is waiting for a signal from the new U.S. administration”.
Earlier it was reported that in Zimbabwe protested against the state of the economy, corruption, human rights violations and demanded the resignation of President Robert Mugabe.
