The President of the United States Donald trump raised the issue regarding the RF interference in the electoral process in the US presidential election in 2016, according to the state Secretary of USA Rex Tillerson.
“As for the meeting, trump and Putin and as for elections in 2016, President trump has raised this issue with President Putin and, frankly, we did not expect other answer except the one we got… This question is also a barrier to improved relations between the US and Russia, and this issue needs to be resolved before we can assure the American people that we will not have interference in elections nor by Russia, nor by anyone else”, said Tillerson at a joint briefing with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in Kiev on Sunday, responding to a question about raising the topic of RF interference in the US presidential election in 2016.
As reported, according to the newspaper The New York Times, citing a source in the White house between U.S. President Donald trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin has been talking tough during the closed-door talks at the G20 summit in Hamburg.
