During his visit to the US in the coming days, the Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin will discuss with representatives of the new us administration, in particular, the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
“I’ll be in the next few days to talk with representatives of the new us administration how to perform the Minsk agreement, who will be the guarantor of how to use the window of opportunity… will take Place (visit – ed.) in the coming weeks. We are working on the logistics of dates, we need to properly prepare, but there is a clear agreement on the meeting in the near future,” said Klimkin on air of TV channel “ICTV” on Monday.
According to the Minister, on the agenda with our American partners is the sequence of execution of the Minsk agreements. “From the point of view of what we offer is a clear logic of how we will be able to fulfill the Minsk agreements that have to be done in the sphere of security, what is the role of the United States, as the United States will work with our partners in the “Channel format” and the EU, how do we fulfill our obligations in the humanitarian sphere, it is primarily the release of the hostages and then move on to the logic of the political settlement. Here is the logic of the sequence and guarantee, is what we now discuss with the American side,” said Klimkin.
Also, the foreign Minister said that during a telephone conversation of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and U.S. President Donald trump was a good atmosphere.
