The socialists in France have put forward Benoit Amon candidate for President

The French socialist party officially nominated the former Minister of education Benoit Amon for President. It is reported by RFI.

A week ago, this politician, considered an outsider, was the winner of the primaries of the left, gaining 58,69% of the votes in the second round. His rival, former Prime Minister Manuel Valls at the ceremony was not present.

Sunday Amon in Paris has come to support about two thousand people. Among them was the mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo, former Minister of justice Christian Tobira, and some members of the Cabinet.

“We were almost sentenced to death, by the immediate extinction, but we rallied,” said Anne Hidalgo, noting the need for socialists to unite around a candidate, Benoit Hamon.

Earlier it was reported that the head of the French far-right party “national front” marine Le Pen maintains the lead among other presidential candidates in the first round, but lose with all hands in the second. These are the findings of the survey of Kantar centers-Sofres-Onepoint for Le Figaro, RTL and LCI.

The lead in the first round of elections is held by the head of the far-right marine Le Pen for her ready to vote 25% of the electorate. Second place with 22% predicting the right-wing candidate, françois Fillon. Third place with a score of 21% -the former economy Minister Emmanuel Macron.

The candidate Benoit Amon can count on 15%.

At the same time in the second round Le Pen loses and Fillon, and Makron. In particular, if the opponent will be the former Prime Minister, the leader of the far right can claim 40% and Fillon – 60%.

In a pair of the same Le Pen – the Makron, the latter wins with 65% against 35%. Also Makron can win if his opponent in the second round will be Fillon with a score of 58% against 42%.
