Resin flew to a meeting of member countries of the IMF and the world Bank

The acting head of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Yakov Smoliy has served in the Armenian capital Yerevan to participate in the annual meeting of the group of member countries of the International monetary Fund (IMF) and world Bank (WB). About it reports a press-service of the National Bank.

The meeting will be held June 9-11, the main topic will be discussion of the role of financial shocks in business cycles and crisis prevention in Central and Eastern Europe.

Resin will participate in the panel discussions at the Constituency Meetings, as well as meet with colleagues from the Central Bank of Armenia to discuss issues of protection of rights of consumers of financial services.

We will remind, last year the meeting of the group of member countries of the IMF and the WB took place in Kiev.

As you know, Ukraine became a member of the IMF on 3 June 1992.

In its policies and activities the IMF is guided by the Charter known as “the articles of agreement of the IMF.” According to the “Articles of agreement of the IMF” member shall provide the Fund with information it deems necessary for its activities. Because since December 1992, the national Bank of Ukraine provides to the International monetary Fund consolidated balance sheets of National and commercial banks of Ukraine and information about foreign exchange rates and interest rates.
