The situation in the East of Ukraine is a very important part of US policy towards Ukraine, the state Secretary Rex Tillerson is exploring various options for United States involvement in the conflict in the Donbas.
This was stated to journalists on Friday, the U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch in response to the question, do you consider the United States the opportunity to participate in the “Normandy” or some other format to resolve the conflict in the Donbas, UKRINFORM reported.
“We are reviewing our policy towards Ukraine and, I think, moving forward in a very positive direction. It is obvious that the situation in the East is a very important part of this, and we will do everything we can to support Ukraine. The Secretary of state Tillerson carefully examining all possible options of our participation in resolving this issue”, – said Jovanovic.
As reported, Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin on may, 12th has informed that consultations with the U.S. administration about the parallel involvement of the United States of certain aspects of cooperation in the framework of the “Normandy format”.
