Trump has decided to withdraw the U.S. from the Paris climate agreement – media

American President Donald trump has decided to withdraw the United States from international climate agreement in 2016 in Paris, according to Wednesday news edition Axios, citing two sources.

According to interlocutors of publication, the details of how exactly the U.S. will withdraw from the agreement, worked out by a small team of employees, including the head of the Agency for environmental protection Scott Pruitt. In particular, they have to decide whether the United States to initiate the output in compliance with all formalities, which may take up to three years, or released it in an accelerated mode, bypassing formal procedures.

Previously, Pruitt said he did not believe in the crucial role of carbon dioxide in global warming, and also criticized the Paris agreement to combat climate change.

Agreement to combat climate change was produced in Paris in 2015, to be concluded in April 2016 in the headquarters of UN in new York. Signatures under the document were put by representatives of over 170 countries, including the US, China and Russia. It replaced the Kyoto Protocol. The Paris agreement obliged the US by 2025 to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 26-28% compared with 2005 levels.

The President of the United States Donald trump during election campaign promised to withdraw the U.S. from the agreement.

However, later it was reported that Donald trump will not sign a decree on the country’s withdrawal from the global climate agreement adopted in the framework of the UN Convention on change. It is reported that trump made this decision under the influence of daughter Ivanka trump and her husband Jared Kushner.
