The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko is convinced that the U.S. is clearly aware of the role of Ukraine in the world. About this Poroshenko said during a speech at the Royal Institute of international Affairs “Chatham house” in London.
“Sometimes I hear people ask: why should we care about Ukraine? To be clear: I don’t mean Secretary Tillerson, with whom I had a phone conversation last week before he met with Putin. I believe that diplomatic and political America has a clear understanding of the role of Ukraine”, – said Poroshenko.
Earlier Poroshenko urged the British to support sanctions against Russia, which are needed in order to came to the dialogue. The President has urged not to believe anyone who says that anti-Russian sanctions are not needed.
“So we could move on our path of improvement, sanctions should remain against Russia. Do not believe anyone who says that sanctions are not needed. This is the only mechanism to keep Russia at the negotiating table”, – said Poroshenko.
