Exports of poultry and poultry products from Ukraine chastichno remains limited in the European Union (EU) and eight countries of Asia and the Middle East has temporarily restricted the import of poultry outbreaks of highly pathogenic flu of a bird. This was reported by the state service of Ukraine on safety of foodstuffs and consumer protection (state foods and consumer service).
The Agency clarifies that the restrictions by the EU have not changed since the end of January, when the EU resumed imports of poultry from Ukraine, except Odessa, Kherson and Chernivtsi regions, where there were cases of highly pathogenic flu of a bird.
A similar prohibition exists on the part of Saudi Arabia. This country has allowed the export of poultry meat, eggs, poultry products, subjected to heat treatment by a method that guarantees the elimination of the virus.
Hong Kong imposed a ban on all poultry products (carcasses, parts and offal), and egg products from regions where were recorded outbreaks of avian flu.
Temporary restrictions on export of poultry and poultry products from all over Ukraine have entered Yemen, Iraq, Jordan, Qatar, China.
