The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the Law “On amendments to some laws of Ukraine concerning pension provision of certain categories of persons from among participants of the antiterrorist operation”, the press service of the head of state on Wednesday.
The document amends the Law “On compulsory state pension insurance”, are entitled to the appointment of old-age pensions after reaching the men 55 years, women 50-55 years of military men, persons officers and enlisted personnel of internal Affairs bodies, who were directly involved in the fighting in the Donbass in areas of their conduct, in the presence of the insurance experience not less of 25 years for men and 20 years for women.
The same right given to the combatants who defended the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine as part of volunteer units included in the armed forces of Ukraine, Ministry of internal Affairs, National guard and other created in accordance with the laws of Ukraine military formations and law enforcement, and military personnel (reservists, liable for military service), persons of ordinary, officers and volunteers; volunteers who became invalids owing to wound, contusion or injury received during participation in the fighting in the Donbass.
Wives (husbands), if they have not remarried, and parents of the above-mentioned categories of citizens who died or went missing, died from wounds, contusions or injuries suffered during participation in the fighting in the Donbas and ensure their implementation, are also entitled to pension on age. The law shall enter into force one month from the date of its publication.
Recall also Poroshenko has signed another important document for the military – the Law “On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine concerning improvement of an order of passing of military service”.
