The world Boxing Association (WBA) ordered the team of Shannon Briggs and Fres Oquendo began negotiating the fight. At stake this match will be the regular belt of the champion of the organization in the heavyweight division.
In accordance with the regulations of the WBA, teams have 30 days to complete the negotiations. If to come to a consensus fail, then will be organized a tender for the fight. The winner will be obliged to fight with Russian Alexander Ustinov.
Recall that the original Shannon Briggs was supposed to fight for the title with Lucas brown, but then the Aussie is the second time he was caught doping.
Also note that on April 29, 2017 Wladimir Klitschko and Anthony Joshua will fight for the title WBA Super heavyweight champion.
