Ukraine sharply increased imports: analysts revealed figures

Shipments from abroad increased after a serious fall

The completion of the critical phase of the quarantine gave impetus to a recovery in economic activity – that, in particular, has changed the trend in the supply of imports to Ukraine. Thus, the volume of taxable imports to Ukraine in June rose by 20% in comparison with indicators of may. This was reported by analysts of the Kyiv school of Economics (KSE) on Center for analysis of public Finance and public management in the Telegram.

In April 2020 the volume of taxable imports to Ukraine fell by 26% (compared to March 2020) in may and by another 4% in June, imports began to recover – and in comparison with the previous month increased by 20% (from 81 to 97 billion).

Accordingly, revenues from customs in June compared to may grew by 4 billion UAH (from 23.31 to 27.45 billion).
