Digitalization and magnets: Zelensky told how Ukraine will develop tourism

The strategic objective is the implementation of the system of tourism statistics

The Ministry of culture and information policy of Ukraine together with international experts formed a roadmap for the development of tourism, which will form the basis of the development strategy of tourism and resorts, to develop a set task President Vladimir Zelensky.

Details of the road map said the Minister of culture and information policy Oleksandr Tkachenko.

“Strategic objectives (of the road map. – Ed.) is the introduction of a system of tourism statistics, a new bill on tourism, which has already been developed, improving the system of industry management, digitalization, creation of a register of tourist activities,” he said.

The Minister also mentioned about the initiative of the President “Tourist magnets”, which actively develops each area.

“In particular, “Big construction” most important “objects of attraction”. We are talking about museums, theatres, castles. I think that this program can not only unite the country but to serve, among other things, the tourism industry,” said Alexander Tkachenko.

The Minister recalled that on 12 June presented the promotional campaign #Mandragoran. In conjunction with the President’s Office held two promotional and informational tour of Odessa and Kherson regions. Together with the regional state administrations are working on the formation of tourist routes in the region. Work is also continuing on the development of a multilingual portal Visit Ukraine.

In turn, the foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that the government is actively working on the liberalization of the visa regime for tourists from China and India. The President stressed that liberalization needs to be faster.

“Of course, you already have a big list of instructions of the President on certain areas within my purview. For me, it is extremely important that these instructions are perfectly and promptly performed”, – summed up Vladimir Zelensky.
