The election of the Polish President with mail: Duda signed a law

But as originally planned on may 10 presidential elections in Poland will take place

The President of Poland Andrzej Duda on may 8 signed a law on elections of the head of the country remotely using email.

This was stated by his press Secretary Blazej Spychalski.

Now the state can organise presidential elections by using mail without the need of citizens to polling stations.

As originally planned on may 10 presidential elections in Poland will take place. The state election Commission in the context of pandemic coronavirus have not prepared everything needed to conduct a traditional election, and the act will mail was delayed until may 6, 2020.

After may 10, 2020 and Supreme court’s recognition of the elections invalid due to the fact that they were not carried out, the speaker of the Sejm of Poland will be announced on the organization of new presidential elections. As expected, a new vote will be held in June or July of 2020.
