The construction of toll roads in Ukraine may begin not earlier than through 3 – 4 years. This was stated by acting head of “Ukravtodor” Slawomir Nowak in an interview with the “Economic truth”.
Novak proposed to amend the legislation on concession. Proposals on this subject is ready, said the acting head of the “UkrAVTO”.
“First, we need a change in the law on concessions, together with the transport Committee we have gained. The current law does not allow to realize the idea of building toll roads,” – said Novak.
In particular, according to him, the concessionaire is required to have a government guarantee of traffic. That is, if the traffic will be less than that provided in the agreement with the concessionaire, the state has the difference to cover.
“This is a normal European standard – every toll road in the EU is built on such a system. If these changes to the law are adopted, I hope that in 2017 we will be able to invite to the negotiations the largest European companies”, – said the Chairman of the “Ukravtodor”.

After this, according to Novak needed at least a year or two for approval.
“After the signing of the concession contract have a minimum of two years fundraising, then design and then construction. So, I think that not earlier than after 3 to 4 years,” concluded Novak.
