Unit №1 of Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant was disconnected from the power grid to carry out a middle planned repair. The outage occurred on August 19 of the year in 22.56, the press service of Energoatom.
It is expected that the repair will last 107 days. Currently at the Zaporizhzhya NPP in the work are three units.
“The total capacity of the generators is 2530 MW. Comments on the operation of the main equipment of operating power units and staff there,” – said in the message.
The radiation background in the area of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and in the sanitary protection zone (the area around the nuclear power plant radius 2.5 km) is 8-12 micro-roentgen per hour, which corresponds to natural radiation background.
