Today, detectives of the National anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) detained the chief physician of the Zaporozhye regional hospital.
As reported on the official website of NABOO, a man suspected of committing criminal offenses under part 3 of article 27 part 2 of article 28 of part 2 of article 364 (“Abuse of power or official position”); part 3, article 27 part 2 of article 28 of part 1 of article 366 (“Office forgery”) Criminal code of Ukraine.
“According to investigators, the detainee conspired with other officials of the hospital and in 2012 organized the illegal procedures for the procurement of ambulances at the expense of subventions from the state budget. As a result, for purposes headed by the municipal medical institutions for budget funds purchased 26 units special cars (ambulance) vehicles, equipment and technical parameters of which fail to meet the requirements of standards of Ukraine and operation of which for its intended purpose was impossible,” – stated in the message.

In the NAB noted that according to investigators, as a result of these actions, the state suffered damages in the total amount of 13 million UAH.
“Currently, the detainee is delivered in the National anti-corruption Bureau in Kyiv, where he will be notified of the suspicion. The issue of election to the detainee of a measure of restraint and his removal from office,” – said the press service.
As reported, the SBU and the NEB had searched the Zaporozhye regional clinical hospital.
