The Commission on citizenship issues under the President of Ukraine decided to support the petition of the State migration service about termination of citizenship to the ex-head of Odessa region Mikheil Saakashvili. This is stated in the reply of the press service of the presidential Administration at the request of the Agency “Interfax-Ukraine”.
It is noted that the parliamentary Committee has proposed the President to take a decision on deprivation of citizenship Saakashvili.
“On representation of the State migration service, which provided compelling evidence of the submission of false information in the applications, the Commission on citizenship issues under the President of Ukraine decided to support a petition for termination of citizenship of Ukraine, Mikhail Saakashvili, and encouraged the President to take a decision”, – stated in the message of AP.

It is also noted that the President signed the corresponding decree.
“In accordance with the legislation on protection of personal data this regulation is not to be published because it contains confidential information, particularly personal data,” explained the AP.
As it became known yesterday, the State migration service has processed the materials according to Mikheil Saakashvili, and sent them to the Commission on citizenship issues under the President of Ukraine.
In turn the ex-the Governor of Odessa region said that in the case of deprivation of Ukrainian citizenship will remain in Kiev.
