Rada is considering a number of prosecutors against Rosenblatt

Verkhovna Rada started consideration of the submissions of the General Prosecutor of Ukraine Yury Lutsenko for giving consent to the criminal prosecution, detention and arrest of people’s Deputy Borislav Rosenblatt (independent, expelled from the faction “Block of Petro Poroshenko”).

Currently, the Deputy acts in the session hall of the Parliament. He stated that advocates the lifting of his parliamentary immunity to “his honor to defend in court.”

As reported, on June 19, the police arrested the security guard of MP Rosenblat allegedly while accepting a bribe of $200 thousand for the decision of a question with licensing of mining.

Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko on 21 June was sent to the Parliament representation about consent on bringing to criminal responsibility, detention and arrest Rosenblatt, the actions of which, according to him, the discernible signs of undue influence and bribery for a total of $280 thousand

On 7 July the Verkhovna Rada Committee on rules upheld and justified all three views of the attorney General regarding Rosenblatt: on the criminal prosecution, detention and arrest.

On 10 July, the parliamentary faction “Block of Petro Poroshenko” a majority of decided to exclude B. Rosenblatt from the faction at his request, also supported the lifting of his parliamentary immunity.

On July 11, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy officially announced the exception of Rosenblatt from the BPP.
