Groisman told how the state will support regional development projects

Prime Minister of Ukraine expects that will be approved the next tranche of 2.6 billion UAH from the State Fund of regional development.

“These funds from the state budget that we allocated for specific regional projects”, – said the Prime Minister.

Groysman reminded that in 2017, the Fund will allocate to regional projects 3.5 billion UAH – this amount was included in the state budget.

“The total number of projects that will be implemented in cooperation with local authorities, – 767. Of these, 294 education, 148 – medical field, 85 – housing, 77 – road-transport infrastructure, almost 120 culture and sports”, – said the head of government.

Recall that in 2017, the government has provided four basic mechanisms of state support of regional development:

  • The state Fund for regional development (GFRR) – 3,5 billion UAH;
  • Subvention from the state budget to local budgets for the infrastructure of the United territorial community – 1.5 billion UAH;
  • Subvention from the state budget to local budgets for implementation of social-economic development of certain territories to 4.0 billion UAH;
  • Subvention from the state budget to local budgets for financing the measures of social-economic compensation of risk for the population living in the zone of observation – 137.5 million UAH.
  • All in all, to support sustainable development of the regions of Ukraine in the state budget for 2017 has more than 9 billion UAH.
