The Prosecutor’s office of Zaporozhye region sent to the court indictment against a woman, which by prior agreement with her husband, sold her newborn baby immediately after discharge from the hospital, Zaporozhye. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry.
“These individuals were detained by law enforcement officers in a rented apartment immediately after the unlawful transaction in respect of a child and receipt of funds in the amount of 7,000 dollars”, – stated in the message.
Actions suspects qualified under part 3 of article 149 of the criminal code (trafficking in persons committed on preliminary arrangement in respect of a minor) and against them a preventive measure in form of detention, said the Prosecutor’s office. For their actions to parents is threatened by punishment in the form of imprisonment till 15 years with confiscation of property.
