Oleksandr Shlapak, headed by PrivatBank after the nationalization, initially held this position temporarily to stabilize the Bank and did my job. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Hroisman on the air of ICTV.
“Now he (Shlapak. – Ed.) resigned, moreover, the Prime Minister, the government has not appointed leader, it shall appoint an independent Supervisory Board. The Supervisory Board will consider this statement and will make a decision”, − said the head of government.
Groysman said that the financial institution has a management, an independent Supervisory Board with specialists of international level.
“I hired the best lawyers, auditors, who are working to protect the state’s interests,” – said Groisman.
We will remind, on June 26, the Chairman of the state Board of PrivatBank Oleksandr Shlapak has resigned. The Supervisory Board of the Bank may consider the application Shlapak at the end of July.
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) is then noted that the main challenge for the future head of “Private” are:
- the preparation of the development strategy of the state Bank;
- PrivatBank preparation for successful entry into his capital of international strategic investors through several years;
- continued cleanup of the Bank from the toxic assets.
