The EU agreed to extend sanctions against Russia – Tusk

EU leaders agreed to extend economic sanctions against Russia by six months. This was announced on his Twitter page, the President of the European Council Donald Tusk.

“Agreed. EU extends economic sanctions against Russia due to the fact that it did not sufficiently comply with the Minsk agreements”, – he said.

Earlier, the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, assured yesterday that the report of the Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel and President of France Emmanuel Makron will allow the EU for another six months to extend economic sanctions against Russia.

Earlier it was reported that European Union leaders will not discuss the extension of economic sectoral sanctions against the Russian Federation related to the implementation of the Minsk agreements, because the decisions by the permanent representatives of member countries of the EU.
