Groysman thanked the EU for extending sanctions against Russia

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman expressed gratitude to the Council of the EU decision to extend sanctions against Russia for the illegal annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol. About this he wrote in Facebook.

“Sanctions against Russia should be continued. It is to this approach that I urge our international partners. Grateful to the Council for today’s decision to extend so-called “Crimean package” of anti-Russian sanctions. Crimea is Ukraine”, – he wrote.

As it became known today, the European Union to “punish” occupied Crimea and Sevastopol city by the extension of sanctions for another year after the illegal annexation of the Peninsula Russia.
In turn in Russia negatively reacted to the decision of the European Union.

“Traditionally, negative (position), we still do not agree with these sanctions. We do not consider them legitimate, and moreover, we believe these sanctions are detrimental not only to us but to the countries themselves, which are their initiators,” – said Peskov.
