At the Pentagon discussed the issue of granting Ukraine lethal weapons. This was stated by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy during a visit to the United States, the TV channel “112 Ukraine” with reference to the press service of BP.
According to Parubiy, the issue of providing lethal weapons, as well as strengthening the sanctions they had risen in the Pentagon.
“He’s not off the agenda, the issue of debate. And if earlier it was a negative decision, today the question remains open,” he said.
Parubiy assured that “there is a negative answer, the debate is open”.
“The selection of weapons is discussed, it has both technical and symbolic importance for strengthening cooperation between Ukraine and the USA”, – he added.
Also, the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy paruby said that “the main event, to be held in Washington, will be the signing of the Memorandum of cooperation between the Congress of the United States of America and the Parliament of Ukraine. This Memorandum, according to him, will make cooperation between the two parliaments closer and more systematic, including at the Committee level.
