The national anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine said that the opening of the General Prosecutor’s office of the criminal proceedings against the first Deputy Director of the NAB Guizot Plavi is an attempt to put pressure on the Bureau. This is stated in the statement of the press service.
“Information about the investigation was included in the Unified register of pre-judicial investigations at the end of March 2017 at the initiative of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine and security Service of Ukraine. Obviously, this production of the GPU is one of the main, because the Prosecutor’s investigation deals with a group of 16 people, which is headed personally by the Deputy Prosecutor General Yuriy Stolyarchuk,” – said in a statement.
The national Bureau is confident that this production is baseless and the investigation is futile, as Guizot Uhlava not violated the law on citizenship. The Agency calls baseless another rebuke of the Prosecutor General about the alleged tax evasion.
We will remind, the head of the European Union to Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli noted the existence of tension between the Prosecutor General’s office of Ukraine and the National anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine, but believes that the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko and Director of the NABU Sytnyk can find a way of cooperation between them in the interests of the fight against corruption.
