One of the largest providers of cable TV and Internet company “Volya” intends until June 1 to finish work on implementation of decisions of the Council of national security and defense, enshrined in a presidential decree, which provide for the blocking of sanctioned Russian sites. This was reported by the press service of the company.
“As a law-abiding company, may 22, we begin steps to limit access to the web sites listed in the decree. The technical work will be completed before June 1”, – stated in the message.
The company advised its subscribers to update their personal offices on the site of the “Will” their email addresses, in case they were reported for illicit resources (mail.ru, yandex).
We will remind, on may 16 , President Petro Poroshenko has signed the decree about introduction of sanctions against Russia.
As stated in the Supplement to the presidential decree, the decision to ban Internet service providers providing services for user access to the Internet resources services “Mail.ru” (www.mail.ru) and the social networks “Vkontakte” (www.vk.com) and “Classmates” (www.ok.ru), as well as a number of the services portal of the Russian yandex.ru and other Russian resources.
It is noted that sanctions against Russian Internet resources is for three years.
