The size of the salaries, bonuses, emoluments and other benefits of employees of institutions, establishments and public-sector organizations, Executive authorities and other bodies will be established in relation to a living wage, not minimum wage as it was before.
“The government brought in accordance with the Law of Ukraine from 6 December 2016 No. 1774-VIII the acts of the Cabinet of Ministers, which regulated the issues of establishing the salaries, bonuses, emoluments and other benefits of employees of institutions, establishments and public-sector organizations, Executive authorities and other bodies”, — explained the need for the adoption of the act in the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers.
So, these disbursements will be in ratio to the subsistence minimum for able-bodied persons, established on 1 January of the calendar year (1600 HR). Until January 1, 2017, the corresponding calculations were made in relation to the minimum wage.
We will remind that in connection with changes in legislation from 1 January 2017, the minimum wage no longer applies as the estimated value for the determination of the salaries and wages of employees and other payments.
